A day visit to Flat Holm will give you around 5/7 hours on the island, where visitors can purchase a self guided tour pack, providing a unique opportunity to discover Flat Holm's wildlife and historic buildings. Guided tours will be available on certain dates. There will be a chance to relax and enjoy the island's atmosphere with a cup of tea or coffee and a chance to visit the well stocked souvenir shop selling monoculars and caps, fair-trade snacks and drinks and a range of souvenirs for you to buy as a momento of your island experience.
Our sailings sometimes include a free cruise round Steep Holm Island but only if time and tides permit? The best of Steep Holm and many of the wartime installations can now only be viewed from the sea as many of the access ways have rotted away. The cruise around the Island includes unique views of the 200ft sheer cliffs along with the sea caves and gull colonies. You will also see one of the largest cormorant colonies in the South West of England. Sometimes shell duck and seals can also be seen. We occasionally run a special cruise just around Steep Holm Island, please check the Sailing schedule for details.
